Buying your freehold
Are you part of a group of leaseholders tired of ever rising management and service charges but still receiving a shoddy service? Do you want to buy your freehold and manage your own building? Do you want to grant yourselves longer leases and no longer pay ground rent to a faceless landlord? Do you want to increase the value of your property? The law gives you rights allowing you to do so.
We have developed a specialist department dedicated to helping you, from obtaining a valuation, to negotiating the various steps in the legal process to setting up your management company and dealing with your new leases, all at a fixed cost.
If you wish to find out more about buying your freehold – which is known as collective enfranchisement – and the likely cost involved please click here or contact us.
Once you have bought your freehold and are running the building yourselves, we can provide a backup legal advice service on all aspects of leasehold property management often on a retainer or fixed price basis.
Buying the freehold of your house
If you own a long lease (i.e. a lease that was originally granted for at least 21 years) on a house as opposed to a flat, then in all likelihood you will be able to buy the freehold of your house or extend its lease under the Leasehold Reform Act 1967.

Extending your lease
Does your lease have less than 90 years to run? Are you having problems selling or re-mortgaging because your lease is too short? Do you want to avoid such problems in the future? You have the legal right to obtain a lease extension, and so increase the value of your property.
If you wish to find out more about extending your lease please click here or contact us.
Please contact us for a no commitment discussion with one of our leasehold enfrachisement solicitors or other professional staff.
